Stepping Stones Pre-School in Curaçao respects the privacy of children, parents and guardians. This notice describes how we handle information used for school administration, billing and parent communications.
Information we handle
Depending on your relationship with the school, this may include parent and guardian names, email addresses, telephone numbers, children's names, enrolment details, invoicing records, payment status and messages sent to the school. We aim to collect only information needed for the relevant purpose.
How we use information
- To administer enrolment and maintain school contact records.
- To issue invoices, share secure payment links, reconcile payments and communicate about balances.
- To answer parent and guardian enquiries and provide school-related information.
- To keep records when reasonably necessary for administration, security or legal obligations.
Email and WhatsApp
Email is the school's primary channel for invoices and payment reminders. Where WhatsApp invoice notifications are introduced, they are intended to be limited to one automated tuition notification per month for parents who have opted in. WhatsApp will not initially be used for automated reminders or marketing.
Messages sent to the school's WhatsApp Business number may be handled through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. For verified school-parent contacts, messages may also be relayed to an authorized school administrator through a restricted Telegram bot for responding to enquiries. Unknown contacts are not intended to be relayed through this school workflow. The school should not be sent sensitive medical or other highly confidential details through ordinary messaging unless specifically requested through an appropriate channel.
Services used
School administration and payment-related information may be processed through service providers including Zoho Invoice, Sentoo, Cloudflare and the school's email provider. If WhatsApp/Telegram messaging is enabled, Meta and Telegram may also process relevant message and account information under their own terms and privacy notices. Only information needed for the service should be shared.
Access and retention
Access to records is limited to people who need it for school operations. Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed for its purpose, including applicable accounting or other legal requirements, and then deleted or securely handled as appropriate.
Your choices and requests
Parents and guardians may ask to access or correct their information, request deletion where applicable, or withdraw consent to automated WhatsApp invoice notifications without affecting email invoicing. See our data request and deletion instructions.
